Despite of common anti-pollution design technologies, various innovative anti-pollution design plans and technologies are introduced based on the requirements of the latest environmental regulations and the current environmental protection technologies according to the pollution characteristics of heavy derrick pipe-lay vessels. It is expected to promote the various environmental protection technologies. It can provide reference for the anti-pollution design technology for this type of ship.

The typical optimization design schemes of the auxiliary power system for the DP-3 offshore vessels are introduced. By summarizing the requirements of the main classification societies, optimization suggestions for the design of the auxiliary system are illustrated with the examples on the basis of meeting these essential requirements. It can provide suggestions and references for the design of similar auxiliary power systems in order to improve the safety and reliability of the system design.
