The single point discharge system has emerged in order to meet the stricter and stricter requirements of the ocean pollution prevention for drilling rigs. The main design concept is to integrate the related discharge pipelines of the drilling rig to one discharge pipeline, that is, the single point drainage. The single point discharge system of a jack up drilling rig has been elaborated and analyzed. It can be used as referenc for the design of the single point discharge system for other drilling rigs.

Bulk cement transfer system is important system of drilling platform to mainly transfer bulk cement to the cementing units. The double bulk cement transfer system has in response to the further improve ment of the transferring and mixing efficiency, and ensure the cementing quality and the safety of the system redundancy. The design principle, arrangement and application of the double bulk cement transfer system are elaborated for jack-up drilling platform. It can provide reference for the design and construction of the bulk cement transfer system of the other drilling platforms.

Air compressor is an important equipment for ships. The capacity and quantity of the air compressor must match the capacity of the relevant air reservoir and the gas consumption of the main engine and auxiliary engine, and meet the requirement of the inflation time and the start-ups of the main engine and the auxiliary engine, thus to be approved by the classification societies. The rational selection of the capacity and quantity of the air compressor can greatly save the procurement cost and the energy cost by reducing the frequent start-ups of the air compressor. It analyzes the advantages and disadvantages, optimization and redundancy of the selection of the air compressor for several container ships. It can provide reference for the ship design in future.
