This paper aims at the structural design and optimization of the shear wall type lashing bridge for ultra large container ships. The structural design and optimization of the lashing bridge of a 20 000 TEU ultra the large container ship has been discussed based on the code of DNV·GL classification society. The influence of the shear wall layout and the form and size of openings in the shear wall on the structural performance of the lashing bridge are examined to provide reference for the structural design of the lashing bridge on the ultra large container ships.
