The structural design of medium cruise ships should meet the requirements of aesthetics, layout, function and structural safety. Therefore, a large number of the different types of the special-shaped structures are widely used in the medium cruise ship. It compares the typical special-shaped structure of the medium cruise ship with the structure of the traditional ship based on the definition of the special-shaped structure, and sorts out and classifies the special-shaped structures in the different regions of the medium cruise ship. It focuses on the structural characteristics of the special-shaped structure, such as the typical opening structure, the high web with opening, the glass curtain wall and the dome in medium cruise ships. The obtained typical special-shaped structure characteristics of the medium cruise ship can provide reference for the structural design and the safety evaluation of the medium cruise ships.
