Abstract135)            Save
As a clean energy, liquefied natural gas (LNG) can effectively reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide and sulphide as well as micro particles. However, LNG fuel has not been fully popularized for inland vessels due to various factors. The influence of these factors should be considered for LNG powered oil tankers in the inland transportation. It introduces the application of LNG for inland vessels, and researches and analyzes the three problems of LNG as marine power fuel in the main engine selection, the LNG fuel supply and the safety of LNG transportation. The relevant technologies, resources and regulations are sorted out through the investigation and analysis to prove the feasibility of the application of LNG fuel on the inland oil tankers.
