As an important technical support for the international development of ship equipment, international standards greatly promote the technological innovation, industrial development and international trade in the ship industry. The international standardization in the ship industry is of great concern for each country. All countries actively carry out technical research and lay out international standard formulation in key areas such as smart ships, safety and environmental protection. This article outlines the main international standardization organizations(ISO/TC8, TC188, IEC/TC18, IEC/TC80)and their standard formulation in the shipbuilding industry. It also analyzes the prospect and development trend of the international standardization of the shipbuilding industry around the new international situation and the development need of domestic shipping and shipbuilding industries. The state-of-art of the international standardization in China's ship industry is summarized to propose suggestions of continuously improving the layout of the existing international standards, orderly promoting the development of the international standards in key areas and actively undertaking the management duties, in order to promote more advanced technologies in the shipbuilding industry to the world in the form of standards.

Ship & Boat    2022, 33 (06): 30-36.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2022.06.030

As the ship moves through narrow and shallow waters, the combination effect of the fluid flow and waves will cause the ship to squat with risk of grounding, thus endangering the safety of ship structures and navigation facilities. It is of great significance for navigation safety to effectively evaluate the ship squat. The ships sailing through the Three Gorges Dam Ship Lift have been examined in the current study. The ship squats of different ship types sailing through the Three Gorges Dam Ship Lift were measured by model test in the towing tank, which are used to fit the formulas for calculating the ship squat of different ship types. The results show that the sailing speed is an important factor affecting the ship squat, with the process of the ships sailing out of the ship lift as the control working condition of the maximum squat. The conclusions can provide technical support for the shipping management department to set navigation regulations and the ship design institutes to design relevant ship types.

LI Zhaohui, HU Fan, WU Qiong, FENG Yi, SUN Qun
Ship & Boat    2022, 33 (05): 59-72.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2022.05.059
Abstract152)      PDF (4288KB)(351)       Save
The body-force method and the sliding mesh method are applied to numerical simulation of full-scale self-propulsion for a 9 400 TEU container vessel, respectively. The effects of the turbulence model, the meshing, the maximum number of the nonlinear iteration, the time step size, the geometrical parameter of the actuator disk and the size of the rotational domain on the calculation results are investigated successively. The key points affecting the calculation results and the corresponding optimal settings are determined by comparing with the model test results and the sea trial results, and the effectiveness of the self-propulsion numerical simulation at full-scale are validated. The propulsion factors and the flow field at the self-propulsion point of the two methods are analyzed and compared. It is found that both methods can predict the performance of the full-scale ship, but with different wake fields. The flow before the propeller disk of the two methods mainly differs in the axial and tangential flow, whereas the flow after the propeller disk mainly differs in the radial flow.

YANG She-jian, GU Wen-jie, HU Fang-zhen, CHEN-cheng
Ship & Boat    2020, 31 (03): 78-84.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2020.03.078

The pilot ladder winch reel has become the standard equipment for the large and ultra large vessels with the development of world ship market towards large, ultra-large and intelligent ships. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has formulated the corresponding rules for the pilot ladder winch reel which is the main supporting equipment for the pilot embarking and disembarking device. This article summarizes the relevant international rules and analyzes the key technology requirements to ensure the better application and implementation of the rules. It is useful for the standardization of the design, manufacture and test of the pilot ladder winch reel, and reference is also provided for the development of the relevant international standards.
