Ship & Boat    2022, 33 (02): 79-84.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2022.02.079

This paper focuses on the new requirements of the world’s first 99 000 m 3 very-large ethane carrier (VLEC) for the prevention and control of the corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19). A design scheme for the epidemic prevention of the accommodation area is proposed to achieve the function transformation from usual use to epidemic time, according to the general arrangement requirements and characteristics of the ventilation system for the hospital and accommodation area, combined with the latest epidemic prevention and control(EPC) symbols of the classification societies and the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the medical institutions. Once the COVID-19 outbreak occurs on board, the hospital and the Suez Canal worker room can be quickly transformed into emergency temporary infectious disease wards. The layout of the infectious disease ward fulfills the principle of “three zones and two channels” in medical institutions, and the ward is equipped with the negative pressure isolation wards and regional ventilation and air conditioning systems. This design can prevent the spread of the virus to the greatest extent and ensure the health of the crew. This study can provide references for the anti-epidemic design of the accommodation area on-board.

Analysis of Fender Selection for Public Affair Vessels Ship-to-Ship Operation at Sea
XU Yang-guang, TANG qing-zhi, HE Xia-yin
Ship & Boat    2021, 32 (04): 107-115.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2021.04.107
Abstract238)            Save
Public affair vessels will transfer persons and supplies during the missions at sea. The ship-to-ship personnel transfer and matexial supply are the most direct ways for two ships berthing together. While the selection of fenders plays an important role for safe ship-to-ship operation. This article analyzes and studies the calculation and type selection method commonly used for the fenders of transport ships during the ship-to-ship operation. The type selection and calculation method of the fender for public affair vessels are proposed based on the characteristics of the ship-to-ship operation of public affair vessels, combined with the type of the fender. It can also provide guidance for the selection of the impact energy calculation formula during the ship-to-ship operation.

LIU Peng, HE Xia-yin, CHEN Chen
Ship & Boat    2021, 32 (02): 93-98.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2021.02.093

The components of the multi-point mooring system are analyzed and selected according to the characteristics of the ship type and the operation sea area, in order to meet the design requirement of refitting a LNG carrier to a FSRU and to ensure the safety of the follow-up operation of the FSRU. A time-domain coupling analysis is carried out for the refitted mooring system under the environments of wind, wave and current by using the mooring calculation software, resulting in the maximum force and maximum displacement of the mooring line and anchor under the various operation conditions. The results show that the refitted mooring line and anchor can meet the engineering requirement, and the hull can meet the strength requirement due to the better controlled hull displacement. The relevant conclusions can also provide references for the design of other similar projects.

The mooring arrangement of the inland ships often has the special considerations due to their operation environment conditions. The design of the mooring arrangement of the inland ship should be carried out and completed according to the requirements of the rules, matching limitations and design methods. The methods and key points for the design of the mooring arrangement of the inland ship are finally discussed based on the mooring arrangement of the Three Gorges ship-lift ro-ro ship.

On Cost Management Strategy of Ship Development Project with Dual-Use Technology
HE Xia, MENG Tao
Ship & Boat    2020, 31 (04): 79-84.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2020.04.079
Abstract123)            Save
The acceleration of the implementation of dual-use technology in China put forwards new requirements and challenges to the cost management of the traditional ship development projects. The state-of-art of the cost management of the traditional ship development projects in China is analyzed based on the modern project cost management theory. The full life-cycle cost management system of the ship development project with the dual-use technology is then proposed to provide corresponding countermeasures, including the structure, organization and method of the project cost management, etc.

Time-domain Motion Analysis of Mooring Positioning for Mooring Floating Crane in Shallow Water
HE Xiao-ning, LIU Ya-Dong
Ship & Boat    2019, 30 (06): 93-99.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2019.06.093
Abstract119)            Save
The differential equation of ship motion is built to study the motion of the mooring positioning engineering floating crane under the combined forces of wind, wave and current. The ship motion is numerically simulated to obtain the ship motion response corresponding to the wave parameters and analyzes the wave direction sensitive to the ship response, in order to provide the foundation for the floating crane hoisting work. The results show that a large surge occurs for the floating crane in head sea and following sea, and a large sway occurs in beam sea. However, the overall amplitude of the ship response is small in oblique sea. The oblique waves should be adopted as far as possible for the floating crane under the hoisting operation, in order to avoid too large motion response that affects hoisting. At the same time, the increase of the mooring force can effectively reduce the displacement of the floating crane.

HE Xiao-lei
Ship & Boat    2019, 30 (03): 32-36.   DOI: 10.19423/j.cnki.31-1561/u.2019.03.032
Abstract130)            Save
The development of the passenger transport market and the high-end Ro-Ro Passenger vessel (RoPax) routes will have a promising market in terms of the Chinese long coastline, abundant tourism resources and potential customer demands based on the analysis of the current situation of the domestic market for the passenger transportation by water. It also discusses the profit mode of the market. It finally presents that the aesthetic design is one of the key points in the design and construction of the high-end RoPax.
