As a kind of hydraulic dredger, trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) is equipped with a mud tank with large opening and large tank capacity. It is a self-propelled vessel that can be used to transport the sand and silt excavated from the seabed. Combined with the unique equipment configuration and general arrangement of the TSHD, the specification requirements and the application on full-scale ships are coordinated to summarize the characteristics and constraints of the design and arrangement of the fuel oil tank, the lubricating oil tank and the sludge tank of the TSHD. Reasonable suggestions and optimal solutions are given, which provide references for the design and arrangement of the oil tanks for this type of ships in the future.
