Abstract: As the Mediterranean Sea in Asia, the South China Sea is one of the regions with the best vitality and potential for the economic development in the Asia-Pacific region, which also has very rich fishery resources. In order to achieve the sustainable development of China's fishery resources and to implement the legal marine rights, this article analyzes two main fishing routes and briefly introduces the unique geomorphological and the meteorological characteristics of the South China Sea, the distribution of the existing fishing grounds and fishing catches, and the marine environment of the fishing grounds. It provides reference and the foundation for the subsequent design of the fishery fishing vessels and refrigerated transport supply vessels serving the South China Sea, as well as the development of the specialized fishing fleets.
